All humans make mistakes. That process starts shortly after our birth. From the clumsy steps that lead to falls, bumps and bruises in childhood, to an expert pianist hitting a wrong note (once in a long while) we are all imperfect. Mistakes are events that show us what not to do, so learning from our mistakes makes us more proficient and better. Mistakes are good if we learn from them and if those mistakes are not damaging or fatal.

We can all choose to find opportunities to learn from our mistakes. It is by not learning that we seem destined to repeat them. Mistakes also remind us that we are human, and they keep us humble. They also keep us appreciative of our fellow humans. The next mistake you make, ask yourself what lesson you can learn—and learn it!
