"To introduce into a philosophy of war a principle of moderation would be an absurdity. War is an act of violence pushed to its utmost bounds"—Karl von Clausewitz, 1819.

But as nuclear bombs and other weapons of mass destruction have been developed, total war now spells total annihilation. "Either war is obsolete or men are," said R. Buckminster Fuller.

Thankfully, Jesus Christ promised to pluck mankind out of the inferno of a final war: "For there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened" (Matthew 24:21-22).

The elect will be living and proclaiming the way of peace—and will then help spread it around the world!
