The other morning I dropped a coffee cup on the kitchen floor and, sure enough, it broke.

“Great,” I thought. “Well, at least gravity still works.”

In this day and age with all of its negativism and some who cry there are no absolutes, it is comforting to know that there are absolutes. Like gravity or thermodynamics, there are immutable laws governing our lives that even our governments can’t mess with.

Maybe there is a reason sometimes our lives seem as fractured or as fragmented as that coffee cup. Maybe the Author of those immutable laws has other laws that govern our lives as well.
