Our covenant with God always includes the clause that we are to walk in His ways and keep His statutes and laws (1 Kings 3:14). That phrase is stated in a number of places in the Bible. Wantonly breaking such a clause causes the agreement to be in jeopardy. It causes God to withdraw His blessings from us.

We readily acknowledge the need to fulfill each clause in a contract when we do business and in all walks of life. People are not always careful to fulfill a contract, and that often brings about the end of the agreement. God is very merciful, but He is totally aware of any breach of our contract. We need to be more careful in obeying Him. That will develop the character within us to make us careful in fulfilling all our contracts. The result is a good name and success. Know the clauses and keep them uppermost in your mind.
