[Darris McNeely] I was rushing out the door this morning, jumped in my car and nearly ran through a stop sign and almost into a garbage truck on a wet cold morning as it was here. It's Monday morning. I was on my way to work but the other guy was to. A garbage truck driver and I happened to think as we went on by without colliding. He is out early this morning, he's doing his job - he must really like what he's doing - it's cold it's rainy. I was on my way to my work and he was doing his - two different types of work but both important both honest.

How do you feel when you come into your job? Are you filled with a mission with a passion for the particular work that you have? I hope you are. I happened to have that type of job that I feel very passionate about to connect to the mission of my organization. I hope you do as well because you know Steve that's what really helps a person get excited about going into work - not only on Monday mornings but every morning.

[Steve Myers] Every morning…Monday morning. Especially a Monday morning like this today here in our area it's a rainy day its kind of dreary its dark out we're coming to work and its one of those days maybe you don't feel like getting at it. But I think what you think about what is your purpose why are you doing what's you do and what is it that motivates you. I think that's something that comes from within and it's something that really got to drive us and it's a biblical thing. It's a godly thing.

[Darris McNeely]  It is. You know the scripture that I was thinking about after that near collision on my part - Ecclesiastes chapter 9 and verse 10 where it says, "what so ever your hand finds to do, do it with all of your might" (Ecclesiastes 9:10). It's a key principle and not every one of us may have just the exact job that we dreamed of having when we were kids. We are not all cowboys, we are not all firemen were not all movie stars or you know stars in whatever field one might be doing. But, we all have an opportunity to make some significant contributions in the work we do.

[Steve Myers]  I think of Psalm 100 verse 2 it says, "serve the Lord with gladness" and that's a challenge (Psalm 100:2). If we are motivated, if we are going to do things with our might like the Bible says we should and we want to do it with the right perspective of whose in charge - God's in charge - so we want to serve Him and see Him behind everything that we do.

[Darris McNeely]  You know if your job doesn't just flip your switch everyday when you go in and punch that clock or go into that office. At least find the mission for you and for your life. And you can translate that mission into virtually any other work that you are doing and have a purposeful meaningful life to live on a regular basis and it will help transform not just your job but your life.

[Steve Myers] - Absolutely - that's focus.
