Valued by God
You have value. You have value not because of your potential or the things that you do—but you have worth because you exist and were created by God.
A struggle for all of us is to see our significance as God does. We may think it’s selfish to consider ourselves beautiful, unique and important—but it’s not. We may believe it’s prideful to acknowledge the good things we do—but it’s not.
Seeing our value means we know who created us and who has given us all that we are. We can appreciate the uniqueness He created in us—by hand—and use our talents and qualities we possess to give to others. It means that we accept our successes, as well as our failures, and we can acknowledge and change when we are wrong.
Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” He saw your value and was willing to give His life for you. But do you see yours?
Cherish your value and hold on to it—because you belong to a loving God.
