Topical Reading: Feast of Trumpets
A Turning Point in History
Called Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew “Head of the Year”) by the Jews, this day is the beginning of the civil year. A new beginning indeed, it is the first day of the seventh month on the Sacred Calendar. As seven signifies completion in the Bible, this month symbolizes God’s plan of redemption being brought to a close. While this particular day symbolizes the terrible crisis at the end of this age on one hand, it is also joyous as it heralds the beginning of a wonderful new age—representing, as it does, the return of Jesus Christ as King of kings along with the resurrection of His saints. In conjunction with the selected passages below, it would also be helpful to read “The Feast of Trumpets: A Turning Point in History” from God’s Holy Day Plan: The Promise of Hope for All Mankind.
