[Steve Myers] When we count our blessings, we often think of the things that we have. Well, I've been given this or I'm blessed with that. But do you ever think of being blessed in not having something? That can be the case as well.

Great example of that is found over in the book of Romans. And in Romans 4:7, here's something you can be blessed you don't have. Here's what it says, "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whom the Lord shall not impute sin."

What a blessing that really is that we don't have to carry past sin, that we can go before God, and we can be in a repentant attitude and we could ask God to forgive us. And He then justifies us, and counts us righteous, and wipes out that sin, and acquits us of sin.

And so, think of it that way. What a blessing it is not to have sin counted against us. And so the second that sin does count against us, let's be sure we go to God in repentance, ask Him to remove that sin and carry on in doing what is right. Now, that's a real blessing.
